CIMSA at RRI Diplomatic Forum

“Disaster is Around, Are We Ready Yet?”
29 October 2018

This month, the UN commemorates the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. Delays in anticipation of the disaster are caused by lack of information and knowledge about disaster obtained, both from the goverment and other authorities. In this regard, on 29 October 2018, RRI World Service-Voice of Indonesian organized the 27th Diplomatic Forum, a talkshow discussing international issues, involving diplomats and various interested parties with the theme of “Disaster is around, are we ready yet?”. CIMSA, represented by Sherly (LO UNA CIMSA 2018-2019), Claudia Alverina & Husain Muhammad Fajar Surasno (Advisory Board SCORP CIMSA 2018-2019), Grafika & Farah Alya (Member of CIMSA), got to meet the speakers from BNPB, Ambassador of Japan to Indonesia, and the Indonesian Association of Geologist. We’ve learned that education is an important thing. “I cannot emphasize enough how education means so much.” , as being said by the Ambassador of Japan. Hopefully, this forum could bring good feedback to the society.
